She started her YouTube channel with a motto to provide less time consuming recipes which can be prepared using the commonly available ingredients. Nisha Madhulika was born in 1959 at Noida in Uttar Pradesh. She completed her schooling and college education from her hometown. She holds the degree of science graduate. She was in love with Cooking from her childhood.
After her education was over, she got married with M.S. Gupta. Her husband was a Tech Entrepreneur in Delhi. She started working as an accountant in her husband’s office. After some time, her family shifted from Delhi to Noida. This made it difficult for her to travel to the office on a regular basis.
She left her job. Her ideal time at home did not go well for her health. She started feeling lonely by just sitting alone at home. She even suffered with “empty nest syndrome.”
After this situation, she decided to write blogs in her spare time. She told her husband and son about the decision. They welcomed her decision and her husband brought her a camera to click pictures to post on her blogs.

She opted for cooking as her niche for the blogs. At the initial stage, she started writing blogs for khanabnana website. After writing about more than hundred recipes, she decided to make a website of her blogs on the advice of her son. She started putting photos and procedure of recipes on her website called “nishamadhulika.com”.
As her list of recipes started getting longer, her followers requested to make videos of her recipes to make it easier for them to follow her instructions. This resulted in the formation of a cooking YouTube channel in 2009.
Initially, she used to upload videos with the help of her husband and son.
After her channel got the popularity, she has now appointed a team, which takes care of shooting and uploading the videos her channel. At present, she has more than 65 lakh subscribers on her channel.
